We wanted to let you know that Sheffield City Council is currently running an online consultation to gather feedback on a proposed multi-activity hub in Hillsborough Park, S6. This would include resurfaced tennis courts with new LED floodlights, covered/floodlit padel tennis courts (now rapidly growing in the UK) and onsite refreshments. While local people would clearly benefit from these new facilities, they would also be available to anyone across the city, not least as Hillsborough has good transport links and a large car park opposite the tennis courts.
The current multi-use games area will be resurfaced and floodlit and will remain free for casual use, as is the case today. The tennis courts will also be resurfaced and floodlit and remain low cost, as is the case today.
