Finance Director – Yorkshire Tennis Ltd.
The present Treasurer of the Yorkshire Lawn Tennis Association (YLTA) is retiring at the end of this year after having served the maximum term of 9 years. At the same, the YLTA is incorporating as Yorkshire Tennis Ltd. (YTL), a company limited by guarantee which will undertake all its functions.
YTL is now looking for a Finance Director to assume responsibility for the financial management of the company from 1st January 2023. The role description and time commitment are attached. The position is not remunerated but out-of-pocket expenses will be paid in accordance with the current YLTA policy.
Applications are invited from interested persons who should have an interest in tennis/padel and preferably be a member of a tennis and/or padel club/venue in Yorkshire.
The present Treasurer has indicated his willingness to assist the successful candidate through the first year of operations, should it be so desired.
A knowledge and experience of managing the accounts of a business is essential. A full induction programme will be given to the successful candidate to ensure they are up to speed will the various aspects of YTL’s operations.
As part of the campaign of “Opening up tennis” and making the sport truly inclusive, the YLTA welcomes all candidates from as broad a range of backgrounds as possible.

- The YLTA has set up a Nominations Committee to make a recommendation for the appointment which will require ratification by the YLTA Council. (After incorporation, such appointments will be made by the Board).
