Friday 25th November saw the 2022 Winter County Cup commence. The ladies competing in group 1 at Bath and the men in group 2a at Edgbaston. The men going to fight it out for promotion into division 1 and the ladies to be top of division 1.
Friday results as follows:
The ladies played Kent and beat them 6-3.
The men played Middlesex beating them 8-1.
Saturday results as follows:
The ladies played Middlesex and won 6-3.
The men played Berkshire and won 5-4.
Sundays results as follows:
The ladies played Surrey and lost 3-6.
The men played Warwickshire and won 5-1.
Surrey in ladies division 1 had won one more match then Yorkshire on the rubber count meaning they were the Champions and Yorkshire were runners-up. This was an impressive weekend for the ladies and continue in the fight for division 1 next year. Well done team.
The men winning all 3 matches over the weekend and coming top of division 2a means that they have gained promotion to division 1 for next year, what a great team effort and some great results.
We look forward to seeing both the men’s and ladies teams next year in division 1.
