This comes with excitement as we let you know both male and female crowned champions were our very own GB representatives and even more excitement as the girls winner is from Yorkshire!
This weekend saw the final of the Babolat Cup in Lyon, the European tournament for under-12 girls and boys created by Babolat in 2009, and won in 2017 by a certain Carlos Alcaraz (world #2, ESP). Initially organized in Spain, then rapidly extended to the UK, the Babolat Cup, now active in 5 countries (France, Italy, UK, Spain, Germany), has seen young hopefuls of European tennis blossom for over 10 years. In 2017, Carlos Alcaraz won the tournament in Spain, in total Babolat look, with Babolat racquet and strings in hand. The awards ceremony was held on Sunday at the All In Country Club, club and tennis academy of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, former French number 1 and world top 5, in the presence of Eric Babolat, President of Babolat, and Frédéric Ascione, Director of the All In Country Club.
